Mac, 74, of Toledo, OR, died on November 7, 2011, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 9, 1937, to Maurice McLeland and Lillian Higgins in Wallace, ID.

He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the class of 1955. In 1961, he married Faye Staab in Portland, OR.

Mac was a mechanic for most of his adult life and owned and operated three different service stations at various times throughout his life.

He was an avid hunter and was known to enjoy his time at the Big Timber shooting range in Siletz, OR and was very active with that group for more than 30 years in many projects. He enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles in his younger years. He also enjoyed time shooting pool with friends and acquaintances in Toledo.

He was preceeded in death by his father 1907-1968).

His is survived by his wife, Faye McLeland; son, Randy (Sue) McLeland; daughter, Heather Kittson; sister, Barbara McLeland Rowley ('54); half-brothers, Julian (Mary) L. McLeland, Greg (Trudie) McAdams, David (Carol) McAdams, and Jamie (Susan) McAdams; half-sister, Wendy (Stan) Koslowski; grandchildren, Alex and Kelli Kittson and Sara and Jennifer Talbert; and two great-grandchildren.

Neptune Cremation Center is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
